Today I have the opportunity to watch, listen and gain from some of the most gifted leaders in the nation. The Nines a project from Catalyst, an avenue for leaders.
I have been captivated with this statement, " To reach people no else is reaching, we must do things no one else is doing." The thought continues to run through my mind, who are those not being reached and how can we reach them? I do not want to pastor a church that is cookie cutter. Why did Christ establish the Church? Are we called to feed one another or focus on those on are experiencing hunger pains? I believe that we are here to create a place, an environment where people are allowed to belong before they believe.
So how do we develop this culture? How do we approach those who have never heard of Jesus or experienced the church? If we serve the God of Creation, then we need to seek Him for creativity. I want a God idea not a good idea.
May we look to the God of uniqueness and creativity and not get boxed into the world of cookie cutters>
